At age-61 I still prefer to keep my hands free on the trail. But someday I’ll start using poles.

  1. On a recent trek on Scotland’s West Highland Way I would have been in serious trouble had I not had my trekking poles. Between the very poor and unmaintained rough trails, and the wet weather, the poles prevent numerous falls.
