As chosen by Tom Mangan:
What’s a hiking blog need to make my personal top 10? Let’s start with:
Timeliness: Newsy, relevant, plugged in to the latest doings and technology.
Stamina: We’ve all got a few blog posts in us, but the best bloggers keep at it for years.
Trail-tested authority: These folks never come home clean on a Sunday night.
Compelling personal testimony: Full of stories that bear repeating.

Note: Tom’s got the most complete list of hiking blogs online. (The main reason I don’t keep one.) … But he’s recently moved it to the bottom of Two-Heel Drive.

I was hoping you could review a new backpack invention I have on Kickstarter.com. I am including the link and we are always trying to improve it. Please tell me your opinion and if you would, pass it on so we can make this the most versatile pack ever. Thanks.
I just got this message regarding Xpanda Bags. So nice!!!
Hi Trey.
Thanks a lot. I will surely spread your words to my friends.
I’m a marine biologist and usually we need to find quite a big bag to bring our sampling gears together with our normal stuff. I believed Xpanda is the most versatile bag ever created I think you just need to post up your project to more well known site for outdoor sports and such. Kickstarter needs a lot of advertisement. I hope we all can manage to fulfil your project!

Xpanda bags, what a good invention, I myself go through many rucksacks on my travels and always find there’s either not enough or to much space.

http://www.nwhikingblog.com This is my blog and I like it because I don’t have advertisements crowding all my hiking information and I have experience on a lot of good trails in the Pacific Northwest and a couple long-distance hikes.

This a great blog for anyone visiting Croatia and a small town Starigrad-Paklenica near the Paklenica national park.
Paklenica is one of the most beautiful places in all of Croatia, and it’s a place to be for anyone who’s into hiking, climbing or mountain biking, or any other form of adventure sports like kayaking or snorkeling.
You can learn everything there is about this place on my blog.

Greetings and salutations, my name is Steven and I am looking to get a little feedback from outdoors enthusiast.
I have invented a new, compact toothbrush that offers a real medical value. I have been told that a great deal of hikers/climbers/etc will cut the ends off of a full-sized toothbrush to lessen the load. I’d like to know if this unintended coincidence is of interest to these demographics.
The name of my toothbrush is The Toof-inger Brush, and it can be found easily with a google seach or at toofingerbrush.com
Thanks for the help and cheers,
~Steven

I love hiking with my friends up here in the beautiful colorado mountians but I was always having to pack extra rope incase of emergencies. I had a very mad experince when actually my grandmother climbed down a muddy drop to go look at a waterfall but when she went to climb back up she was unable to. She had the rope in her pack and I was not able to help her back up but a nice group of people came by and they had the coolest thing. There dog had a paracord collar on and all they did was untie it and used that rope to help my grandmother up the muddy hill. I looked up paracord dog collars when I got home and found the best website for a collar for my dog , a bracelet for my grandmother and a keychain for my back pack. I now feel so much better hiking and not having to carry a heavy rope around in my pack. And its nice to have even in the car incase I ever need it to tie things down or need rope for any reason. Take a look at this website it just made me feel safer to know I will always be prepared. https://www.etsy.com/people/mariahnieman123?ref=hdr_user_menu
