I like Florida, and have always had a good time there snorkeling, canoeing, beach running … but not hiking on trails. I once tried running the Florida Trail. It was literally underwater. I could have canoed it.
Hawaii has outstanding trails on every island; even the Tantalus system within the city limits of Honolulu is excellent.
