One of our besthike photos was chosen as an example of “Natural Beauty” in Canada.

That was taken on our heli-hiking adventure (PHOTOS) to the Tombstone mountains in Yukon.

  1. Great pic indeed, Does not seem to be bothered with mosquitos…. when have you been there and how long was the hike. Any more details about the itinerary would be welcome.
Why did you fly over there and hike from the campground and rangers station located on the Dempster HWY?

    1. It was the 4th hike there for our leader.

He wanted to see some new terrain so we flew in as far as we could, walking back off-trail. Slow and TOUGH.

      I don’t recall any mosquitoes.

      Weather was great.

      1. I am curious to know where you flew into and the route you took out. Trying to plan a fly in for this summer. Looking at about 5 days. We have hike the tombstones before so have some knowledge of the more popular hikes.
