Mary recommends this one. 🙂
Distance: 5.4 miles round trip
Elevation gain: 1000 feet
Difficulty: Moderate
Seasons:Year round(Update from KTred: Forest service road 1861 access to the trailhead is closed January 1-July 15th, adding several miles of uninteresting gravel road hiking. You could be fined be the Forest Service for being behind the gate.)
The Hart’s Cove Trail starts out by switchbacking downhill through a young coastal forest. Railroad tie steps here help make footing better. …

This hike is not available via this route “year-round” as posted. Forest service road 1861 provides access to the trailhead and is closed January 1-July 15. The gate closure adds several miles of uninteresting gravel road hiking and you could be fined be the Forest Service for being behind the gate.
Thanks. I corrected the Hart’s Cove post.
