Te Araroa is a foot trail stretching from Cape Reinga in the North of New Zealand to Bluff in the South.
Opening at the end of 2011, Te Araroa is one of the world’s longest walking trails. Hundreds of volunteers have helped create the continuous 3000 kilometre-long route.

Great info on walking trails. This is definitely a top one! Thanks for sharing it.
Cost cheaper to walk this one than Appalachian Trail I believe.
Some parts are just challenging especially the route in Mt Richmond area. A solo tramper was drown and died there in river crossing last month.
