the best trip reports are on Trailspotting

This is elegant simplicity. Exactly the way the internet should work.

Clean. Succinct. But dense with the information you most need: maps, guidebooks, etc.

Check a sample hike for format: San Bruno Mountain Summit Loop, California.

Here’s a sample of the Google Maps integration:

I am inspired.

Well done, Trailspotting.

  1. Wow, what praise! Thank you.

I’m glad you like the simplicity. I wanted to approach the website like I like to approach movies: tell me how good it is and where I can find it .. but please don’t tell me the plot, or how it ends .. I want to explore that for myself.

Loving besthike .. added it to my RSS feed. I spend so much time on my site that I sometimes miss out on great sites like yours. Thanks again.

  2. I know how you feel Stuart. I would love to incorporate maps the way you do — but it is so time consuming.

    One day …

Tom Mangan was talking about you today, too.
