I had planned to climb Twilight or Snowdon early morning after the night I tented at Crater. But it rained steadily all night. Both peaks were cloud shrouded in the morn. I marched directly out.

What a wonderful picture
Perfect. How can you resist such beauty? My first hike is actually at Crater Lakes, and it was a spectacular first time. I’ve fallen in love with hiking ever since.
I rode a mountain bike to the lake @1993. That was some thin air. Thanks for the picture, it has always been a favorite memory.
